Very versatile singer and songwriter. As a topliner/lyricist I've been working in the pop/dance, electronic scene since 2015 and have released songs through Hexagon, Warner Benelux, Sony Sweden, Casual Jam, Aesthete.

As a singer I feel very comfortable in every genre but again, pop is my warhorse. If you are looking for bright, airy and charming vocals then I am your girl. I love vocal arrangement so I'm also available to arrange, record and produce backing vocals in any genre. I'll deliver clean and tuned dry stems.

Interview with Maki Flow
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I can't even describe the joy it brings to write a song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Because I've been singing since forever, I naturally approach writing a song by jamming melodies. Once I am 100% happy with the whole topline I shape lyrics around it. I like to write the words starting by a concept, something that would be a cool title in my head and then I start telling the story from there. Before being a storyteller I see myself as a singer, so every single word has to sound good to me: I'd always pick the good sound over the 'cool' word.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record all my vocals with my Neumann TLM103 and Apollo Twin Duo interface. I mostly use Logic Pro X.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always collaborating with DJs and producers and I am also working on my debut EP.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Chainsmokers is my number one pick. And that's because I approached EDM listening to them, literally got obsessed with all of their songs and all of their singers and writers. They shaped me in a way. So that would be a dream. I would also love to be in a session with Julia Micheals, just to see a genius at work.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Every person I've worked with told me how unique my tone is, it's always been difficult to compare myself to other vocalists. That's what they liked the most about working with me. Also, a 'lot of heart' which is the main thing to me.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write top-lines and lyrics usually on a beat, then record my own vocals. Most times I comp, edit and process my own vocals.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will deliver a high quality work putting my 100% in it.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I know you have your reference in mind, but if you pick me please let me be creative and add my creative input and vibe to the song.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Neumann, Apollo interface, my keyboard and laptop and my iPhone (which might not count as a gear but I can't write a song without recording on it first).
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: You will recognise my bright, airy and charming vocals. It's not something I wrote if there's not an airy, high falsetto in it. I like to always change the range of my melodies throughout the song as I believe it gives a lot of dynamic and keep the interest up in the listener.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I believe that the performance is key. The better the performance, the less you have to go blind on a laptop trying to fix it or make it sound better. There's no plugin for a beautiful tone or an engaging performance.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mainly on pop, pop-dance and edm music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Singing. And coming up with hooky melodies pretty quickly.
