Producer Audio Engineer Piano

I'm a Producer (Audio Engineering Bachelor Degree), Classically Trained Pianist (29 years exp) & Singer-Songwriter. I spent 10 years in an original rock band, songwriting & playing hundreds of gigs. My experiences mean I genuinely understand musicians; because I am one! This makes me perfect for producing & developing singer-songwriters & bands.

Hi! My name's Stuart. My main gig is producing up-and-coming new solo artists. I specialise in pop, pop/rock & acoustic singer-songwriters. I've found success working with solo artists because my songwriting exp & classical training is a real advantage; solo aritsts haven't had as much opportunity to collaborate/develop their songs as bands have. I'm able to fill gaps & steer them in the right direction in a collaborative approach that still puts them in the driver's seat. I'm finding the majority of solo aritsts come back for their next project! I beleive this is due to my approach, skill set & the value I offer. I have a tried & true process that gets results & is broken up into 4 stages, all inclusive!
1. Pre-production
I listen to your recorded demos & recommend which is best for production. Once you choose the song/s, we look at arrangement, tempo & other decisions that'll shape your song. Once we agree on tempo, structure & arrangement, we do a guide track for reference.
2. Recording
We record the most consistent element 1st (to a click track) eg acoustic, keys, whichever holds the groove. Each element gets recorded 1 at a time, or programmed in & we build the song in layers. Extra piano, synths, strings, acoustic guitar, bass, drums programming is included. Vocals are recorded last.
3. Mixing
I'll mix it! I offer 3 revisions
4. Mastering I'll master it.
