Born and raised in North London, Jonny Royall started his career creating euphoric trance productions, quickly finding airtime on Will Atkinson’s BBC Radio 1 residency show with his remix of synthwave queen NINA’s My Mistake. Royall followed that with the celebrated single ‘Chimera’ on Daniel Kandi’s Always Alive label that garnered support from Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Aly & Fila. Coredata has had his music reach out to the legendary Tsuyoshi Suzuki’s own Matsuri Digital label in Japan, whilst also releasing on retro Goa trance label Zion 604 in the vibrant Israeli psy scene. On home shores, Coredata’s productions received healthy support from veteren Solarstone, and the single ‘Cyan’ soon followed on popular label Pure Trance to a highly positive reception.
While working on exciting underground dance music, Royall also showed his versatility by working as part of the retro inspired synth-pop group IVERSEN. Royall was able to work well with partner Josh Iverson to focus on bringing out the best in the music that was presented to him. Hits like 'Drive Ride' and 'Metline Blues' are testament to hard work and an extremely well tuned musical ear.
More recently, JR began composing music for BMG's 'The Home Of Happy' label, composing high quality library music.
