I've worked on a few of Bhauraw's productions now and they're always incredible. Not only do they sound amazing, but he clearly cares a lot about his artist's vision and getting a final product that fulfils that perfectly. If you need some help turning your songs into fully fledged productions, Bhauraw's your guy!

I have loved every minute working with Bhauraw! He is extremely collaborative and a multi-talented producer who creates high quality music with an extremely fast turnaround. He is a one man show, plays multiple instruments and he stayed true to my vision while also adding his own creativity and imagination to the song.
I am so excited to work with him again!!

I am so glad I found VRTIGO to produce our project. He was very willing to go over and above to ensure the project went smoothly even though we lived hundreds of miles away. I was extremely impressed with his abilities and I would recommend him anyday.

Interview with Bhauraw Avhad

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: 'The Getaway Plan' EP by Colleen Ryan. We co wrote and produced the entire thing. She had been doing YouTube covers for years, I loved her voice so I reached out to her to release something of her own.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: A pop track for an up and coming singer songwriter from Philly. She is looking to change her sound to something more radio friendly.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet, I just joined.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: For the most part digital for the ease of use (especially for editing and mixing). Analog sounds better and I use analog outboard gear to help take some of the sterility out of my tracks.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I won't stop working on your song until were both happy with it

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love making music and collaborating with people to create something

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: 'Was that a good take?' or 'What do you think of this?' I try to be honest or make suggestions in a constructive way

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That writing a good song is easy

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Who do you listen to, what sound/vibe are you going for, how open are you to suggestions and making changes to your song.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Put some thought into what you're looking to accomplish and be honest about what you want. It'll help me find the best path and will save us time.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: acoustic guitar, laptop, good mic, headphones, midi keyboard

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been playing music and performing since the age of 5 (classical piano), I started a band in the 6th grade and have been in bands since, the last of which has gone on 4 cross country tours, I went to college to study Studio Production, I decided to follow my passion and be a full time musician shortly after graduating college.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Easygoing workaholic

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Max Martin, he's had a huge part in developing pop music for decades. He really knows how to write music that works for the artist.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Keep it simple. Too much stuff can clutter a mix and make it difficult for the listener to hone in on what the song is trying to say.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Pop, top 40, singer/songwriter with sparse arrangements, country

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Developing a song and working with the artist to express their vision.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I can flesh out a rough idea into something much bigger. I'm very good with arrangements and having a track develop, build momentum, and keep the listener engaged. I'm a multi instrumentalist and can add parts quickly if the song needs it.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: 1) An artist sends me a a song idea and if I hear good potential for it I start creating a track that captures the mood of the lyrics and vibe of the artist. 2) I create the track and send to the artist to write over top of.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio is set up for working mostly in the box. I have guitars, basses, acoustics, amps, a drum kit, mic selection, hardware pres and compressors, a Moog synth, and midi controllers. I can record up to eight tracks at once.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Max Martin, Timbaland, Pharrell, Rick Rubin

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I help artists create music that personifies who they are and what they want to say while allowing them to showcase their skills and talent. I make music for and try to push artists to take their craft to the next level and differentiate them from other people trying to do the same thing as them.
