From the COVID crisis to breakup empowerment, Szou’s lyrics are a unique take on life and the universe. Fusing euphoric production, energetic beats and soulful vocals, Szou is one of the most exciting electro-pop acts to surface in the UK in recent years. Originally from West Sussex, Szou’s love of electronic music began at a Friendly Fires gig aged 12. After moving to Manchester to study, the city’s thriving dance scene influenced her music-making, powering her desire to move audiences both physically and cerebrally.
