Every song deserves it's own rhythm!
I don't hear music in genres or styles. I look for the story, the picture and the message of a song and transpose these into rhythm and groove.
Recording music became one of my favorite parts of being a musician. I love the process of working on rhythms and grooves. Finding the right sounds, the right spot and - most important - the "perfect way of playing" for each an every song.
In my teenage years I was mainly playing and educated as a jazz drummer. Only in my 20s I discovered my love of playing pop music as a drummer and little later I was introduced to the world of south Indian rhythm and the rhythm language Konnakol. This experience and my yearly studies in India changed my whole life as a musician and a human.
My recording process is not super fast. I want a song to breath and in my opinion time is one of the things we underestimate too often when it comes to make music. I'm also not into programming and I don't use electronic sounds. I just love to hit a real drum too much.
I don't separate percussion from drum tracks. You will always get a full rhythm arrangement.
Please listen to the song compilation and you will hear what I like to do and what I can do. Let the music speak:-)
