Ghanaian Producer Joey Turks, Alias for Joel Turkson has always had the love for music deeply embedded in his lifestyle since infantile. He started playing drums at the young age of 10 and has since picked up the guitar as well. His fondness for music built his early foundation in his creative artistry, closely watching and listening to great musicians across genres spanning from Highlife, R&B, Afrobeats and Jazz music help mould him to be the artist he is today.
,His interest grew stronger when exposed to works of renowned global musicians like Anderson Paak, Osibisa, Quincy Jones ,Bon Iver , and Timbaland .
He is also a co-founder of the creative collective, Superjazzclub and has contributed to the writing and production of songs for the collective together with fellow members
