I tune large batches of vocal stems for large choral or a cappella projects, as well as solo vocals with a delicate focus on preserving the singer's natural attacks, vibrato, and individual inflections. I also transcribe/mock-up lead sheets and charts for you to give your session instrumentalists.
I've been working primarily at BioSoul Music studio, Los Angeles, turning over large batches of stems for projects ranging from professional choirs, many-layered R&B and pop vocals, and a cappella songs. Each of those genres obviously require a different touch in tuning, and I pride myself on considering harmonic function and style when I tune, as well as avoiding the common pitfall of over-tuning. Especially with multi-vocal projects, aligning timing (cut-offs, entrances, consonants) is vital too and something I take great care with.
I'm totally open to feedback and revisions within reason in the given timeframe, and my price is flexible depending on the scope of the project.
My audio sample contains excerpts of a few different levels of tuning, based on genre and the producer's preferences and instructions for me: the first and last sample are more heavily edited; the second sample less edited to evoke a live, more naturalistic choral sound; and the third is barely tuned at all, just touched up.
