Samuel Aureliano Trotta on SoundBetter

From the first idea to the final master. Music Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer with 2 FIMI Gold Records, helping artists create release-ready music.

Hi, I'm Sam, a Music Producer, Mixing & Mastering Engineer and Conservatory-trained pianist based in Milan, Italy.

For over 10 years I've been helping artists turn ideas into professional records. I've worked on commercial releases and projects in collaboration with Universal Music Italy, Warner and other music industry companies, earning 2 FIMI Gold Records along the way.

I specialize in Pop, Urban, Trap and Reggaeton, offering everything from full production and arrangement to vocal tuning, mixing and mastering. Whether you're starting with a rough demo or a nearly finished song, my goal is to elevate your music while preserving your artistic identity.

Alongside my work in Italy, I also collaborate with artists across Europe and Latin America, particularly in Colombia, bringing different musical influences into every project.

If you're looking for a producer who cares about your music as much as you do, I'd love to hear your project.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Samuel Aureliano Trotta

  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: Don't start with plugins, start with the song. A strong melody, great chords and a clear arrangement will always have a bigger impact than expensive gear or endless processing. The best productions are built on solid musical ideas.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: I mainly work on Pop, Urban, Trap and Reggaeton, but I'm always open to projects that blend genres and push creative boundaries. My focus is modern, melodic music with strong production, impactful vocals and commercial appeal.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: Turning unfinished ideas into complete, release-ready records. Thanks to my background in piano, music theory and modern production, I can bridge the gap between creativity and technical execution, helping artists develop songs that are both musical and commercially competitive.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: I bring both creativity and technical precision. My goal isn't just to make a song sound better, it's to make it feel stronger. Whether it's refining the arrangement, enhancing the emotion or polishing the mix, every decision is made to support the artist's vision and create a record that connects with listeners.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: Every project starts with understanding the artist's vision, references and goals. From there, I build a clear production plan and keep communication open throughout the process. I believe collaboration leads to the best results, so I involve my clients at every key stage while taking care of the technical details behind the scenes. The goal is simple: deliver music that sounds professional, authentic and ready for release.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: My studio is built around a hybrid workflow that combines modern digital production with carefully selected analog gear. I work in Logic Pro with a MOTU 828es interface, a BAE 1073 preamp, a Klark Teknik KT-2A compressor and both analog and digital synthesizers, including the Behringer Pro-800 and Modal Cobalt8M. This setup allows me to achieve a modern, polished sound while maintaining musicality and character throughout the production process.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I'm inspired by producers who combine strong songwriting with innovative production. Max Martin, FINNEAS, Tainy and Louis Bell are great examples of creating records that are both emotionally engaging and commercially impactful. I also draw inspiration from different musical cultures, especially through my collaborations with artists across Europe and Latin America.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: Most of my clients come to me with an idea, a demo or a vocal recording and need help turning it into a professional, release-ready record. I work on the entire creative process, from production and arrangement to vocal editing, tuning, mixing and mastering. My goal is always to enhance the artist's vision while delivering a modern, commercially competitive sound.
