With 10 years of experience as well as having received training/mentoring from some of the best studios in Africa, I offer a more cultural and emotional approach to the mix/master, aside from achieving the highest sonic standard possible.

Hey, my name is Ian - better known as mastr.muigai. I'm a professional Audio Mixing and Mastering engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the music industry. In my time in the industry, I have had the opportunity to work with many of the best artists & bands across Africa - from labels such as Warner Music, Universal Music and Sony Music groups.

My goal on SoundBetter is to help you get that record(s) that you’ve poured your blood, sweat & tears into, realizing its full potential. In order to achieve this, I tend to approach music not only from a technical, but on an intellectual level as well - in order to fully convey the intended culture and emotion.

I insist on the prioritization of communication (and more importantly) transparency during the working process; I understand that things happen sometimes. Our adoption of a more service industry approach ensures that each client gets the individual attention deserved; That means I'm 100% committed to the project, I'm always available.
We have virtually no turnaround time - if you have an important deadline, we'll make room for it.
