I do production work in Ableton and Logic, I have a modest studio with a beautiful view of the city in Downtown Los Angeles where I track instruments and vocals.   1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I did a recent release from VAST called "She Is Murder", I played all the instruments, mixed and mastered it. Also did a track "Ain't Yo Bitch" with Estelle, and have contributed a lot to the discography of a newer artist Iyla

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am working on EDM vocals constantly, I have a client that is making 70's inspired rock, another client that is making hyperpop influenced songs, and a client making modern R&B mixed with pop

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: A little of both! i think it's great to have a mix of both for tracks.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: What do you want to achieve? Let's do it!

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Music is my best friend, we have fun everyday, even when we are working hard.

  12. A: "Can we change this part?" YES!

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: I am very diverse and eclectic with my skill set, so communication is key for each project because my influences are very wide

  18. A: Communication is key, if we can figure out a mutual goal we will reach the finish line

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Ableton, a vocal mic, a guitar, PUSH 2, some kind of drum

  22. A: Been working for 25 years, first started professionally with VAST and then got into LA's hip hop and drum'n'bass / electronic scenes

  24. A: Melodic

  25. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  26. A: When mixing, try turning the volume up or down for your individual tracks before adding a bunch of plugins. sometimes that's all the mix needs.

  28. A: Electronic Dance and Electronic Rock

  29. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  30. A: I know music inside and out, but I would say music theory and songwriting are the skills I usually tap into the most with my work

  32. A: I really like melody and catchy musical moments for both instruments and vocals.

  33. Q: What's your typical work process?

  34. A: I work 8-12 hours a day on music for clients and myself.

  35. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  36. A: I have a great laptop setup with Ableton and Logic and a ton of plugins. I have a live room in Downtown Los Angeles if I need live drums or to get loud

  38. A: I enjoy all professional musicians, producers, and artists that are releasing hit songs

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: Vocals for dance tracks, guitar and bass work, production and mixing/mastering
