As well as being an accomplished bassist with a background in jazz and soul, I have mixed and produced many albums and try to bring this musical awareness to my bass playing.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have 15 basses which can be recorded dirent through the fantastic Avalon U5 into my AML 1073 or UA 610, (plus optional API eq and Urei 1176 hardware) or by special request through my beautifully preserved Ampeg B15 into a Geffel CMV 563 (neumann M7 capsule) or SM7 and finally to my Metric Halo MIO8 converters

A: Pino Paladino, Jimmy Johnson, Willie Weeks, James Jamerson, Chuck Rainey, Michael Henderson, Paul McCartney
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The bass part can transform your track and artists often send me demos looking for that special extra something. Some of the greatest basses in the world will be recorded pristinely for your own use. We can chat about semantic but my usual approach is to send 3 takes of varying complexity for you to comp together to your liking
