Oliver Bowring is a creative professional with over a decade of experience in the media industry as an audio engineer, producer, composer, photographer and videographer. He is founder and managing director of Musicarta Media, a London-based media company and studio complex, specialising in audio-visual production for musicians.
Before finding his love for media production, Oliver was an accomplished musician achieving grade 8 on both piano and trumpet at a young age. With a desire to give more purpose to his performing and composing, he self-produced recordings and music videos to release on YouTube. He found himself enjoying the production of those just as much as the music itself and soon other musicians were asking for similar videos to be produced. At age sixteen, he founded Musicarta Media to make a career out of music, media and everything in between.
To further his skills and expand his professional network, whilst also keeping music front and centre, Oliver studied Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister) at the University of Surrey, graduating with a degree of Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours and was awarded both the Graham Smith Memorial Prize for Composition and Woodleyside Tonmeister of the Year.
As a director, his work is driven by great music, compelling narratives and uncompromising production quality. His love and understanding of music underpin his approach and production style which has been invaluable when working with clients in the arts, including Sony Music, London Symphony Orchestra, Gibson and The Purcell School of Music.
