Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We stand by our services, we're your consultant, guide, engineer and support team to get your project online and working. We'll initially consult with you to look at your project and where the technology will work best and handle all of the complexity of providers, hosting and getting users setup to be productive on sessions.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Getting people playing in this new environment. Once we get someone new online and they realize that it works -- it is a great feeling to hear their reaction and see music working in a new way.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Does it really work? It absolutely does. With our experience working on professional projects and the thousands of visitors to the community we host, we know the recipe for success on sessions.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We provide writing, rehearsal and performance collaboration space, the virtual venue -- so you can connect with your band, or your customers, in real-time with high-quality audio.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Experience in live sound and 25 year technology career centered on network connectivity. During the pandemic, playing music and began researching online low-latency audio capabilities. How were those late night TV bands performing remotely?. I think a lot of musicians have had a bandmate move away and said 'hey maybe one day we can connect online to work together' -- and then that technology just never emerged or worked. Until now. In mid 2020, I started an online music community leveraging the Jamulus platform and began hosting a venue for musicians to connect and play. I was soon contacted for work on projects with professional musicians that were looking to collaborate, complete the writing process together, and perform for special live events. In 2021, CBVB, began offering services for professional projects.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A place to work together -- right now. For a long time, when artists writers and producers are working at a distance, the workflow is sending tracks back and fourth, emails, conference calls -etc.. What if you can connect today and work together in real time? What if the band could work on those changes interactively? What if your project could do some PR events without the travel or a live performance for a special event and not have the expense and travel?
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: It the combination of musician-audio-technology expertise with a strong ability to work with and support people.
