Julianna Banks on SoundBetter

I want to help you tell your story- exactly as it's meant to be heard. As an artist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist myself, I understand what you're looking for, whether that's the perfect lyrics or a stellar mix.

I have ten years of songwriting experience, including a songwriting degree from Berklee College of Music. I am also a current Master's candidate for music production, technology, and innovation at Berklee.

As a songwriter, my favorite genres to write in are pop, rock, and anything in the surrounding realms. As an engineer, I have a passion for working with many different genres and instruments, from rock to pop to latin jazz, upright bass to electric guitars.

Interview with Julianna Banks

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm currently working towards creating a visual EP for my thesis project. It consists of five tracks that I've written, sang, produced, engineered, and mixed myself. Now I'm in the process of filming one continuous video that will play along with the songs through the entirety of the EP.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I love finding the best way to help people tell their stories. I believe we all have a message to share, and in many instances, collaboration is the way to get to the heart of it.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: I love to hear references, and what the client likes about them. It's so important to be on the same page from the beginning so we can make the work towards our goals as smooth as possible.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: The most important thing is to choose someone who can understand your vision.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I wrote my very first song at 3 years old, so I've had a lifelong love of music. From there, I started classical piano lessons at 5 years old, taught myself guitar and started gigging at 12, graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in songwriting and moved to Spain to pursue my master's in music production, technology, and innovation at 21. My whole life, I've been slowly adding to my skillset so I could achieve everything I envisioned with my music. Now I'm looking to do more of that with other musicians and artists as well!
