Bio
My name is Jonathan Black, I am a full-time professional audio engineer with over 12 years experience in the field. I really enjoy working in a variety of disciplines, such as Live sound, Studio recording, Corporate sound and live video performances.

Beginning
My involvement with audio all started with playing in a band called Melaton. . At the age of 18 our band signed a development deal with Sony, we got to work with some amazing producers such as : Stephen Street, Richard Rainey, and Marc Carolan. It was during this time when my passion for audio engineering began.

Live work

Mixing for a live audience is something I really love.
I work regularly in Whelan’s, Opium, and recently The Academy. Before that I was working in The Helix.

Highlights of live work since we have returned have been: Pigs x7, Chuck Ragan, Leif Vollebekk, and Andrea Corr. I have also supplied audio for: Bill Clinton, Edward Snowden, Russell Brand, Blind Boy, RTE, Newstalk, Sky News, and Other Voices.
