I'm Niko Battistini, a mixing engineer and producer based out of the UK. I've spent many years in a variety of studios, honing my craft and learning under some of the greatest minds (and ears) in the industry.
My first real steps into the industry were when I had the opportunity to assist under Mark 'Spike' Stent. This kickstarted my passion for all things record making and supercharged my education about mixing, client management and understanding the expectations artists and labels have of a mixer. Whilst I was working with Spike, I was fortunate enough to spend some time at the world renowned EastWest Studios in LA and sit in on recording sessions, learning from the extremely talented engineers who worked there.
After my time with Spike I moved on to assist mixing engineer Geoff Swan, this was a much more hands on role and gave me an opportunity to really develop my skills as a mixing engineer in my own right. I spent 7 years with Geoff and together we worked on a plethora of amazing records from artists such as Mahalia, Charli XCX, Jónsi, Mabel and Caroline Polachek, to name a few.
I truly believe that a great mix is one that you don't hear, but feel. I want your vision for your songs to come to life and for the final mix to portray the emotions you felt when you were writing it.
