Recording and/or providing specific music in a range of locations including theatres, cinemas, castles, forests, or street events all over the world.

I love to write and play music. I am a multi instrumentalist specialising in writing and / or playing music for bespoke creations in theatre, dance, film and live events. Trained classically on the trumpet, I went through the standard training by taking official exams including my grades 8 on trumpet and music theory. However at the same time I became interested in many other styles of music, branching out firstly to more contemporary styles such as jazz, blues and subsequently rock, until becoming more involved in world and folk music, performing with several groups from around the world. With these interests my likes and styles are very eclectic that I can include when necessary in my compositions that are often mixed with the cinematic style sound I like to employ.
I am able to offer a range of musical options after years of working on projects of different scales and budgets. I can provide original recordings in which I can make alone, but I have trained in orchestration and can write music for other musicians (including orchestras) to play/record.
As a musician I have spent hours accompanying dance and movement ateliers (over 3000), so I have also become adept at solo performances with loops and effects, immediately being able to create a rich sound instantly live, and improvise on the spot. Visit www.alex-paton to hear music and video.
