I’m a self-taught producer with an unconventional, design-focused approach to songwriting and arranging.
I couple my 15+ years as a musician with industry experience as an industrial designer. This puts me in a unique position to understand a client’s vision and how to best communicate their message to their audience. I’m curious and eager to push sonic boundaries to new limits while always staying true to you, the artist. I aim to serve your record.
Whatever state your song may be in—a voice memo, a demo, a filled out arrangement—I’d like to help you transform it into a polished record with a cohesive, authentic vision, ready for fans to connect with on any digital platform.
While I’m strongest in the funk/disco, alternative rock, progressive/art rock, atmospheric rock, R&B and blues genres, I’m a versatile, adaptable musician. And although guitar is my first love and passion, I’m a very capable bassist, keyboardist, percussionist and vocalist.

Interview with Austin Pedersen

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Whichever sounds better at the time.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I've considered being a mechanical engineer, a designer, a psychologist, a chef and a bartender. But music is the only thing I can do each day until I drop, then get up and go the next day until I drop again. I truly love it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Songwriting is usually more important.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My musicianship. I know when to do what.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A desire to try something new.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Daft Punk's perfectionism, Kevin Parker's DIY productions, FINNEAS' arrangements, The Weeknd's level of craft
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I write instrumental arrangements. I lean on my guitars a lot because I know them best. I also do a lot of vocal coaching and editing to get top-notch performances from vocalists.
