From México, now located in Tx. Frank Goodman is a mixing and master engineer who started as a producer at the age of 13 and now with more than 8 years of experience and a big passion for music this is like a dream job for him. Young, fresh and also experienced ears.

Specialty in genres like Rap, R&B, Pop and Folk. Open minded to all genres.

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I'm a student and a producer for local rappers and remote mixing engineer.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Analog emulations, cause u have the emulation of a vintage warm sound with a lower price.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: A professional sound to compete with the big hits of the moment.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I like that it does not feel like a job even when I do the same hours in an office doing broing paperwork, this just feels different and I love it.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I've been doing this for 8 years now, I'm 21 years old and since 13 I've been in love with music

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: I would describe my style as dynamic, fresh, loud and clear.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: I would love to work with people like Twenty One Pilots because their style is so unqiue, Tyler the creator to learn about his workflow and Leslie Brathwaite to learn about his mixing techniques.

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Mid frequencies are just as important as the lows and highs, devices like phones, tv's or speakers tend to make those frequencies their protagonist.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I mostly work on rap and r&b

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Communication with the customer, understanding their needs and their vision

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I like to bring loudness and clarity to a song. I highlight the best parts of a song.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: I start my routine by checking the emails I have at 8 am, then once the clock says 9am I start to mix songs until 3pm-4pm and the deliver ends at 4:30pm

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: My private studio is a treated room with a pair of monitors (Presonus Eris E5), headphones (Shure SRH440), an audio interface (Presonus Studio 24c) and a powerfull pc that handles heavy renders without crashing the system.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: Porducers like Pharrel Williams, Tyler The Creator, Arca and mixing engineers like Leslie Brathwaite inspire to become a better version of my work.

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: I mix and master tracks with stems that the artists send me in WAV files, I like to use analog emulations of different plugins because I like the warm they bring to music.
