You hear the song in your head. Let’s make other people hear it too. I'm GrizD, a producer and mixing engineer with 6+ years of experience, 100+ projects, and 70M+ streams across my credits. From a rough demo to a finished mix, I'll shape the sound around your voice and vision. Send me your idea—let's bring it to life.
Hi, I’m GrizD—a music producer, mixing engineer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Tirana.
Whether you’re starting with a voice memo, a rough demo, or a nearly finished track, I’ll help develop the arrangement and production while keeping your sound and vision at the center.
I’ve worked across 100+ projects over 6+ years, with credits on releases that have passed 70M+ streams. My work spans pop, indie, pop-rock, alternative, rock, and hip-hop. I record guitar and bass and offer full production, additional production, mixing, mastering, and audio editing. I also work on dialogue editing and audio post for film, TV, and commercial projects.
I keep communication clear, share progress for your feedback, and agree on the scope and timeline before work begins. Send me your demo, a reference track, and what you’d like to achieve. I’ll reply with a clear plan and quote.
BEYOND THE STUDIO
Finishing the song is only part of the process. I’ve created a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to help artists release their music and navigate the registrations and royalty systems around it. It covers distribution, song and recording registrations, publishing and mechanical royalties, neighboring rights, YouTube, and release tracking. I share it with every artist I work with, so you have a clear roadmap for what to do after the track is finished.

Interview with Grizd
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I’m proud of “Parte Por Parte” by Chrono Rapper, where I was the producer and co-mixing engineer. It’s a good example of how I bring production and mixing together to help shape a track from its core sound through to the final balance.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I’m continuing to produce and mix music for independent artists, alongside audio editing and post-production work. I’ve also prepared a detailed guide to help artists understand song registration and royalty collection after release.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I don’t want to recommend someone without firsthand experience working with them. If your project needs a specialist beyond my services, I can help you identify what to look for in their samples, experience, and client reviews.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I work mainly digitally because it gives me flexibility and makes it easy to revise and recall a project. I also use analog-inspired processing when it adds useful character. The choice depends on what best serves the song.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I’ll listen carefully, communicate clearly, and treat your song with care. I’ll keep you updated and work with your feedback so the finished track reflects the direction we agreed on.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I enjoy helping artists turn an idea they can hear in their head into a finished song they’re excited to share. I also like the collaborative process of finding the right sound together.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Artists often ask whether I can work from a rough demo or voice memo. Yes—send me what you have, along with any references, and we can discuss the best next step. They also ask about timing; a full production usually takes around 20–30 days, depending on the scope and feedback process.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That production is mainly about adding more sounds or effects. Good production starts with understanding the song and making choices that bring out its strongest qualities.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What stage is the song at? What do you want help with? Which references capture the sound or feeling you’re after? I’ll also ask about the deadline, deliverables, and any specific details I should know before quoting.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen to the provider’s samples and check that their role on each track is clear. Share a rough demo, a few reference tracks, and what you want the song to feel or sound like. Clear references help me understand your vision and give you a more useful proposal.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A laptop running FL Studio, an Apollo Twin X, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones, my Fender Stratocaster, and my Arturia MiniLab 3 Midi.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started working professionally as an independent producer and audio engineer in 2020. Over the past six-plus years, I’ve worked on more than 100 projects across music production, mixing, mastering, and audio post-production.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I’d describe my approach as song-focused and collaborative. I adapt the production to the artist and the material, drawing on expressive guitars, detailed textures, and modern production when they serve the track.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to work with Billie Eilish. I admire how her songs create a distinct atmosphere while keeping the vocal and emotion at the center.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Make space for the most important part of the song. If the vocal or main melody is the emotional center, arrange everything else to support it rather than compete with it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work across pop, indie pop, pop-rock, alternative, rock, and hip-hop. I’m especially drawn to songs with strong emotion, memorable melodies, and room for distinctive production.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Understanding an artist’s vision and translating it into production choices that support the song. I also value clear communication, so we can make decisions together throughout the process.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a producer’s perspective, an engineer’s attention to detail, and a musician’s feel for arrangement and performance. My goal is to strengthen the song while keeping the emotion and character that make it yours.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: We start by discussing your goals, references, and what you already have. I develop the arrangement and production, then share progress for your feedback. Once we’ve agreed on the direction, I finish the production, mix, and any other deliverables included in the project.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work primarily in FL Studio and Cubase, with an Apollo Twin X interface, Yamaha HS7 monitors, and Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones. I record with a Fender Stratocaster and Yamaha FG820 acoustic guitar, and use Shure SM57 and SM58 microphones. My production tools include iZotope RX and Ozone, plus Waves J37 Tape.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by artists like Billie Eilish, Melanie Martinez, and Lana Del Rey, who each create a distinctive mood and sound. I admire producers who make every production choice serve the song and the artist’s identity.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I help independent artists take songs from an early idea or rough demo to a finished production. That often includes arranging the track, recording guitar or bass, and mixing or mastering it for release. I also share my comprehensive guide to music distribution, song registration, and royalty collection, giving artists a clear resource for the steps that follow release.
