Aside from being part of the indie/alternative pop duo Nefeli On Clouds as a singer and songwriter, I also write songs and record vocals for other artists as well as for film scores such as the short film "The portrait" by film maker Carlotta Beck Peccoz. I study at the Cologne University of Music, where I specialized in pop and jazz vocals.
My name is Nefeli, I am a singer and songwriter and part of the indie/alternative pop duo Nefeli On Clouds. As part of Nefeli On Clouds, I have experience in recording vocals, writing music (lyrics, chords and melodies) and playing live. We are currently working on our first EP, which will be released soon. So far, we have released four songs and some music videos which you can find on Youtube. There are also some live covers on our Youtube channel. Outside of my work for Nefeli On Clouds, I have recorded vocals for other artists, as well as sung backing vocals for artists during live performances. Due to my partner being a film composer, I also have some experience in recording vocals for films, such as "The portrait" by film maker Carlotta Beck Peccoz. Additionally, I have written songs specifically for short films. Moreover, having grown up bilingual, I am comfortable singing in multiple languages: Greek, German and English. I have also recorded songs for a Kurdish artist in the past and I am quite adaptable when it comes to learning to sing in different languages. I am also currently studying at the Cologne University of Music, where I specialized in pop and jazz vocals during my undergraduate studies.

Interview with Nefeli G.-S.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: In terms of personal projects, I'm currently working on a few singles that my partner and I will release as the alt-pop duo Nefeli On Clouds. And I'm very excited to finally get some more of our music out there soon!
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: If you are looking for an amazing, experienced guitarist, for a film composer, arranger or producer, I definitely recommend my collaborator Alessandro Giovanetto, who I have worked with on many songs for our joint project Nefeli On Clouds.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: When it comes to my strongest skill, I have many times been complimented on my tone and accurate pitch while singing. During recordings, I am able to stay focused and people have told me that they enjoy my calm energy while working together. I would say that another one of my strongest assets is the fact that I am quite flexible when it comes to singing in different languages (English, Greek, German, French). As for songwriting, I have always been quite particular about my choice of words. I am also able to write songs around a central theme without losing sight of the main feeling or message that I want to get across. I also very much enjoy coming up with vocal melodies on top of chords and I would say I am quite good at it.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have recorded vocals for my own indie/alternative pop project Nefeli On Clouds, as well as for other artists and genres that span from singer-songwriter, to indie and alternative pop, to EDM, to world and traditional music in different languages, to soundtracks. I also provide the service of writing songs or vocal melodies for different projects. Additionally, I have sung backing vocals at live gigs.
