Haunting sounds and foley

Christian Klingeler on SoundBetter

I provide haunting, dark sounds and foley work for film and video games. I can also produce music to get that dark melodic feel.

My skill set is in dark melodic tones to get that scary creepy feeling with a good jump scare.
One of my songs is currently in an HBO series.

I am currently working on my next album which will be Hard and Fast with Dark melodic tones (Bad Omens meets infamous MIW)
So I am versatile in both dark melodic and hard, fast music.

I have a few Halloween album’s out under the band name ’inraged’.

Interview with Christian Klingeler

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: At the moment I am creating a new sound for my next album. It isn’t the normal dark and scary I’ve done in the past, but it’s going to be hard with a different sound. I’m very excited about it.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Funny because I am looking for a producer for my upcoming album and there’s a few people that I’m very interested in. I’ll let you know who I work with but everyone seems to be very qualified. Advice? look at the people they worked with and the style they like to work on, in order to make your choice.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital for sure. However, if you’re looking for old-school sound, then analog is your choice. but digital there’s so much you can do, so much manipulation that can be done and it doesn’t cost money to just let it record and you can play and play, jam to get that song you’re looking for. Whereas analog you’re running through tape and tape so expensive.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I promise that I will work with you, and make sure that you are happy with the project

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Not having a boss breathing down my neck, not being a cog in the machine :-)

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: I just need that one sound. Well that one sound comprises of 24 tracks of different textures sound effects machine noises background melody. How can I give you that one sound if the whole mix creates that sound. But my answer is sure no problem

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The biggest misconception about Musician’s and artistry is that anybody can do this. It seems easy on the outside, but it is a skill, and I truly believe that people are geniuses in their own style, so choose someone that matches your style

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What bands do you like? Will the check bounce?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Find someone you get along with, don’t be sucked into these pre-loaded messages. Make sure it’s unique to your question.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: I need another cup of coffee for this question

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I love to just play and create interesting sounds and beats. I feel that is what I’m good at. That sounds and beats I always come up with are very dark. It’s like an outlet for my inner soul. However, I do create songs lyrics and have four albums out under the name ‘inraged’ my first album was songs with lyrics, and then I went through writers block, so I wasn’t able to create Lyrics, which I am still struggling with, but I love music so much that I created two Halloween albums, which is where I began to create music for TV shows, and other projects
