Mixing, Mastering, Guitarist

A lot of times, people get lost in the process of producing music. To make matters worse, the solutions they propose (“the song needs new guitars”, “mastering will fix it”, etc.) might not at all be what will actually make the song better. I specialize in stepping into these situations and using fresh ears to get the track to the finish line.

I think a lot of people misunderstand and therefore overthink these processes. It is really, truly, 100% about who's pressing the buttons and how good the ingredients they have are, and I'd like to think I've gotten pretty good at this point.

I find most rough mixes are a few easy moves from being way better and I think there is a tremendous amount of wisdom in the modern "hey, mixer, just take my session and tweak it" approach. I try to take it a step farther - I love mixing your printed stems. You wanted it to sound that way for a reason, right? Trust me, I can still make extreme alterations where necessary. I doubt I'll need to, though :).

I have extensive experience live and in the studio, and have included some highlights from that experience in this YouTube playlist. I co-wrote and produced "Christmas Love" and "Feel", was MD and handled all audio post production for the live performances (and played guitar), and insisted the hilarious hook that is "Foo's Gold" be taken to the finish line, along with mixing and mastering it.
