Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My last project I wrote all of the music myself, produced it, played all of the instruments and wrote lyrics for three of the tracks (didn't make the project tho) Kaleidoscope by Terry L Harris on youtube
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Just finished production on 14 new tracks, looking for artists to write, sing and rap to collab with. The one highlighted here Chasing Time is one of them.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: No
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I love love love analog due to it now squashing ur sound like digital. Things get compressed already going thru the distribution house for streaming, using digital to me further squashes the music down. Just my two cents
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: As long as their talent can be touched, i can respect and Serve their artistry n we can get crackin!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creating w someone in a vibe where it's on the fly cuz we locked in.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can I get a discount?? No, lol
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Only do music for "black people" lol🤷🏾♂️
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Can your talent be touched? Are you coachable and can you actively listen
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Need to be able to hear honesty, if the song isn't for you, the vox , the range..etc then let's move on to something else
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Mac Pro, FL studios, acoustic guitar, monitors and internet!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Been seriously producing music since 2018.first project was for Gospel artist Louis Self II ..I wrote and submitted 6 tracks, his team took 3.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Multi versatile, multi genre driven. I secretly love creating drum tracks even tho my main instrument is guitar!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to write and produce tracks for pink or Rihanna..great vocals that could serve my songs for real!!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Let the music speak, hen let it breath..the space is where all the juicy stuff lives!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: What ever the artist calls for I can do but I love writing pop records!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: The thought, concept, creation and final listen are my strong points.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Audio and visual creative concepts, the Instrumention, production,
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Ideas are never wasted, I demo them out then find inspiration to attach to them. Then I go back and blow the track out either for an artist or jus finish am instrumental version.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: FL studio producers edition using two versions, M Audio monitors, Mac Pro, 11 guitars, 2 bass guitars, a mini Akai keyboard and a Alexis 49keyboard, 5 amps to chose from. Lastly, a vox booth (but I'm learning how to record and produce vox correctly at the moment, lol)
