My name is Gira Soul (hear-a-soul). I primarily sing and write. I specialize in soulful, otherworldly, heartfelt lyrics. I speak the truth, and it reaches people. Now I can write to anything (local jam sessions have taught me that) but I’m only interested in music that really makes you FEEL and THINK, no mindless fluff. My inspirations include icons such as Erykah Badu, Ms Lauryn Hill, and Jill Scott- I also love Frank Ocean, Thundercat, and Hiatus Kaiyote. Imagine that blend! I do, everyday. I grew up in New Mexico, so I can also sing in Spanish and have a love for Latin sounds. Overall, I’m here because I always write- but I know that not every song is meant for me to sing. Sometimes it’s waiting for some else.
