Wade Biery

Pro Bass/vox, tours/sessions

Wade Biery on SoundBetter

Toured/rec with Kenny Loggins/Christopher Cross/Don Felder/Five for Fighting/Miguel Mateos/Glenn Frey/Joe Walsh. 40 years touring experience, producer of independent music for much less than label prices with comparable results in sound and quality, vocals/bass/fretless bass/soundalike electric standup bass/acoustic guitar/rhythm electric guitar.

I work in music as a touring electric bass player/vocalist, and I produce independent records with high-quality results for much lower than major label budgets, including two releases of my own music under the band name STILL.

My current focus is more geared towards production work, but I am still interested in the right kind of touring situations as well, no matter what at the end of the day, I still really enjoy performing live in front of an audience.

I have excellent recording gear, can work via files over the Internet, with a simultaneous video session to enable real time communication if necessary.

On guitar I specialize in finger picking in rhythm acoustic guitar, with a strong capability in electric guitar as well.

Vocal arranging and backups are also a strong suit for me.

Please check out my samples of some of my own work!

**Selected recording gear **

For sessions we can work via the Internet/phone/vidchat, production is easier in person but still very doable remotely, and I have access to the highest quality players in the world whenever needed to get it done right!

Interview with Wade Biery

  1. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  2. A: “What are you trying to do?” It seems like a simple question, but a lot of people just say they want to finish a song, and that’s absolutely fine and a great start, and some people have their whole path charted out, and knowing what that is can really help in making choices that will help them on that path.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: Listen to what they do, don’t just read the credits…. Many people have worked with all kinda big artists, but that doesn’t tell you much about what they can bring to recording/production that will help you get your “thing” feeling like MUSIC. Playing live and recording are different animals, and so hearing what someone has actually recorded is a much better read on what they will bring to your work, than a list of who they’ve played with…..and I say that knowing I have a big ole list too….

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: Creativity and working outside the box, but if the song calls for it, I can lay it down, simple and to the points when that’s the right thing.

  7. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  8. A: Most commonly I record bass tracks via the Internet, and tour as a bassist/vocalist
