I write and arrange string parts and record them in my studio, sending high quality, organised stems. My strings and vocals appear on the tracks of high profile Australian artists such as Ballpark Music, Genesis Owusu, Big Scary and Tim Shiel. I also compose full soundtracks, and have written for film, yoga & healing sessions, and live circus.
My recording, arranging and composition for strings is informed by both a Bachelor of Music with a Violin Performance specialisation, and a sound knowledge of sound production using Ableton Live. In my own solo project, Happy Axe, I use layering of violin, vocals, musical saw and electronic music production. Inspired equally by the organic sonic landscapes of artists like Björk and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and the brooding string-laden film scores of David Lynch and Hollywood noir.
