More than 50 years of professional experience in studio recording sessions both in Japan and in the USA, including "Final Fantasy~Pray" album as a flutist/arranger

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Whatever they need for natural sounds(or sounds naturally), I would be the right person for them to hire.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: Tools for fishing such as fishing rod and hook, shovel, sickle, and telescope

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: Starting from playing in the recording studios and then performing in orchestras and bands. My total career spans almost 55 years from the beginning till now.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: The soul and the beauty.

  9. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  10. A: I believe that my work at this moment will provide happiness to many flutists and recorder players in the world. Because my work does have very good qualities compared to works of other composers.

  11. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  12. A: I've been working on making video footage of my compositions for uploading to many internet platforms

  16. A: At this point, you can not decide which is which. You have to provide both in any way.

  17. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  18. A: Never be disappointed.

  19. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  20. A: I always like to deliver the right answer through my performance to the person who wants to hire me.

  21. Q: How would you describe your style?

  22. A: My style is so free on the whole however the way to approach and the way to read notes is so precise and so accurate.

  23. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: I wanna work with DJs because they are so free to collaborate on music.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: My teacher at graduate school used to say about music. Quote: Music is not a sport so you must not compete about height, strength, and especially the speed of your finger action. Focus more on how you communicate from your heart when you perform. Perfectly agreed.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: I believe that music is a communication tool for human beings. Therefore, I would normally change the way of approach to music production each time.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Mostly animation, cinema music, and all kinds of background music.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: Reading music, of course, however, my skill of improvisation is so unique and nobody can imitate my improvisational style.

  33. Q: What's your typical work process?

  34. A: After reading the score or PDF, provided by clients, I try to bring my soul to the music whatever is necessary. My soul will be brought to the music by my breath and my air, in either case of flute playing or recorder playing.

  35. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  36. A: I use an OLYMPUS linear PCM recorder LS-11 and record via Logic Pro 10.6.x + SM58 + Behringer I/O and supply recorded parts in WAV or MP3 format.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: I will provide any performance file whenever necessary according to clients' wishes.
