Jan Schroder

Session Guitarist

Jan Schroder on SoundBetter

Multi-platinum songwriter and session guitarist with my own recording studio. I specialize in indie-pop, ambient, folk or any other style that has a touch of indie. Can deliver many guitar layers and colors with acoustic, electric, baritone, high strung and rubber bridge guitar.

My name is Jan Schroder and I’m a guitarist, songwriter and producer with French, German and Dutch roots. I studied guitar at the Utrecht Conservatory and have scored multiple gold and platinum singles with my band Causes. In 2017 I received a Buma award for my song ‘Teach me how to dance with you’. I currently reside in Hilversum in the Netherlands and have my own professional recording space at Studio Groenland.

I specialize in indie-pop, ambient, folk or any other style with a slight indie touch and can deliver many guitar layers and colors with acoustic, electric, baritone, high strung and rubber bridge guitar and more. In my studio I have a lot of vintage gear and a separate isolated amp room with 4 different amps mic'ed up and ready to go. There's a big collection of dynamic, ribbon and condenser mics available as well as great pre-amps. So I can dial in tones that match the project and are to your liking. I can also track a clean DI guitar signal alongside if wanted.

With many years of experience under my belt, I get to do studio work regularly here in the Netherlands and have also worked in studios in the UK, France and Germany as well as doing some remote work.

I'd love to collaborate and am happy to jump on a zoom call to discuss options and see if our ideas and tastes match.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
