Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The work I do with my clients consists on conducting an exhaustive and complete musical project, taking into consideration every aspect of it. The first step is understanding what the client wants, what the aim of the project is and how to include different musical genres in one to create a unique song. After this is achieved, I do composition sessions to capture the client’s ideas in order to create the instrumental and to write lyrics that can be adapted to the artist whilst balancing the sound and the structure of the material. I am a recording assistant at a studio where we record lead vocals, backing vocals and adlibs. For this purpose, musicians can be hired if needed, too. I am in charge of the production of the song, adding details, effects and polishing everything for the mix and master that I do on my own.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My setup consists of an MPC X that is routed through analog equipment as an instrument to get the best out of its sound.
