Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Listening and working on different tracks from different genres. This opens up the creativity.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: What do you deliver? - High Quality WAV's with commercial loudness and streaming loudness.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How their track should sound? Which reference tracks they have to compare? What's the deadline?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing this for more than 15 years now. Over the past years I had several releases with top supports and played international gigs.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Timbaland. I love his process of making music. It's fresh and unique.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get your tracks done. Even if it's not 100% for you. Just get it done! An 80% track which is released is better than a supposed 100% song which never sees the light.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: House, EDM, Pop and Dance music.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Industry standard, which means best quality in competition to hits.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A mix of both. Digital is great for the fast workflow and analog brings that extra life and warmth to a song.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: the job is only done until you are 100% satisfied.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A macbook, headphones, a generator for electricity, keyboard for a better flow and a lot of water.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Bringing ideas to life.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the time I work on Mixing/Mastering sessions or produce songs.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Mixing/Mastering: While listening to the song I make notes to decide what to do on it. I keep working on it in cooperation with the client to get the best result. At least the most important thing is the Carcheck! If it sounds good in there, the song will be ready to release. Production: Deciding with client how the song should be arranged & sound. Working on a first idea based on reference tracks the client sent me. Drop -> Break -> Intro/Outro -> mixing & mastering & GO!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm working with 2x Sky Audio Verdade monitors which are my absolutely secret weapon! The most neutral monitors I've every heard with. Also everything I do is made on a Mac with best settings for music production to receive the fastest & most flexible results.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Avicii was definitively a big inspire for me. The melodies and arrangements were important for my creativity.
