  1. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  2. A: There’s no quicker way to spark musical inspiration than improvising on the piano with advanced techniques.

  3. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  4. A: I'm versatile in composition styles, including but not limited to classical (classical, romantic, impressionist, modern), epic music, traditional Chinese music, horror music, and various world music styles. I continuously explore different genres.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: I’m highly skilled in composition and audio production, holding the highest diploma in piano performance, which enables me to complete projects efficiently.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: I can compose music to lyrics and independently complete the arrangement.I can independently handle both the composition and arrangement of a song.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: I first understand the client’s requirements, then, based on videos, scenes, or other needs, I improvise on the piano. After that, I draft the composition on paper and finally use software for audio synthesis and production.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I’m using Cubase for music production, Sibelius for score editing and printing, and the complete EastWest Hollywood Silver library for sound sources.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: I’m mentored by French film score maestro Béatrice Thiriet, gaining valuable insights and inspiration. I’ve studied numerous symphonic works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Debussy, and analyzed film scores by Hans Zimmer and John Williams. This has greatly enriched my composition style and skills.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: I’m going to gather composition requirements from clients, such as videos, scene descriptions, target audience, usage, and artistic value. Then, combining my 20+ years of musical journey and composition skills, I’ll create unique music or film/game soundtracks that meet their needs.
