Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I can make the song something it isn't. :) . It is difficult to make a bad recording sound like a great mix. I will always try to be upfront with people what I can actually do with the source material provided.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I like to know what DAW your song is currently in. I also ask for the without any heavy mixbuss and groups processing so I can bring the most out of your song. I recreate the energy in the reference mix with specific techniques to keep the hype and forwardness of heavy processing in a mix but without the song overall feeling small or "choked".

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more! If you want something to feel larger, before you add more layers, try adding reverb/delay effects to the sound and turning everything else down!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually find myself working on all genres of electronic music from Pop or Dark Pop all the way to modern cinematic trailers or EDM.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: To interpret the artists musical goal for the song and not get In the way of the artists vision.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring modern production techniques to enhance the emotionality and musicality of the song while also adding the final polish to add the “sounds like a record” feel.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The process really depends on a song by song basis, but for example when mixing, I like to hear where the current mix is at and hear any references the artist has for their tracks sonic vision. From there I’ll rebuild the gain structure to feel fuller, more open and more exciting. From there I then rebalancing the mix toward the reference track but within context of what works with their current songs musicality. I usually request the lead vocals with and without processing as I feel the quality of the vocal processing really determines the quality of the overall mix and requires additional attention to detail. :)
