Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: "The First Mountain" By Tyler Mulder is a great example of my work. I focused on shaping the mix to feel aggressive, punchy, and clear, especially in the drums and guitars. It represents the kind of sound I aim for modern, energetic, and release ready.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: Currently I am working on a full length Punk record including live drum recording, editing, tuning, mixing & mastering. I am also working on an indie rock project with another band.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

A: Yes, Trent Yurkovitch. He is my go to option for session drumming on Sound Better!

A: “Can you make my song sound professional?” Yes but that comes from a combination of strong production, clean recordings, and a focused mix. My job is to bring all of that together into one cohesive result.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That mixing is just technical. It’s actually about emotion and impact how the song feels when it hits the listener.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What references best match your vision? What feels missing from your current mix? Where will this song live (Spotify, label, personal release)? What matters most: punch, clarity, vibe, or all of the above?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Don’t just listen for “good sound” listen for fit. The right engineer will understand your genre, your references, and your goals—and help you get there faster.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I studied audio production at the Art Institute of Atlanta and worked under Matt Goldman at Glow In The Dark Studios. Since then, I’ve been building my own production and mixing work, working with artists independently and refining a sound focused on modern, hard hitting records.

A: Aggressive when it needs to be but always clear, balanced, and intentional

A: Coheed and Cambria their combination of musicality, storytelling, and large-scale production is exactly the kind of work I enjoy contributing to.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: If everything is loud and dense, nothing hits. The best mixes use space and dynamics to make key moments feel huge.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Rock, pop, punk, hardcore, and modern alternative. Anything that needs energy, edge, and a polished but aggressive sound.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Getting mixes to feel powerful and clean at the same time. That balance tight low end, punchy drums, clear vocals is what separates amateur from professional.

A: I bring impact, clarity, and direction. Your song won’t just sound cleaner it’ll feel bigger, tighter, and more intentional, with drums that hit, vocals that cut, and a mix that translates everywhere.

A: I keep the process fast, collaborative, and results-focused: Vision Alignment – references + goals Quick Rough Mix – lock direction early Detail Phase – tone shaping, punch, clarity Revisions – fine-tune until it’s right

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I run a hybrid analog/digital setup designed for punch, clarity, and translation. Universal Audio Apollo system Yamaha HS7 monitors (treated room) Outboard: BAE 1073MPF, Stam SA4000MK3, Purple Audio MC77, Avalon U5 Vocal chain centered around SM7dB & Lauten Atlantis Everything is dialed in for accurate low end and mix translation, so your song sounds right on headphones, cars, and streaming platforms.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I’m inspired by producers like George Lever, Will Putney, and Andrew Wade they all balance heaviness with clarity in a way that translates on any system. Artist wise, bands like Coheed and Cambria and Hail the Sun push creative production and dynamics, which is something I aim to bring into my own work.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I primarily work on mixing and production for rock, pop, punk, and hardcore artists who want a modern, punchy, release-ready sound. Most clients come to me when their track feels close but not there yet. I help take it from demo-level to competitive with today’s records through detailed mixing, vocal production, and performance tightening when needed.
