José Joel Germoso Mata, known professionally as Joel Germoso, is a Dominican-American bass player with a rich musical journey rooted in New Jersey. His passion for music deepened at 11 when he discovered the electric bass, leading him to further studies in the United States and at Berklee College of Music in Santo Domingo.

Since returning to the Dominican Republic in 2009, Joel has built a distinguished career as a professional bassist. From 2010 to the present, he has performed and recorded with top-tier artists and bands such as Pamel, Joachim Horsley, Covi Quintana, Krisspy, Don Miguelo, Rubby Pérez, Gabriel Pagán, Gipsy Kings, Frank Reyes, Elvis Martínez, Ala Jaza, Olga Tañón, and many more. His versatility spans genres like pop, bachata, salsa, merengue, and Latin fusion, indie, jazz, flamenco, bossa and more, bringing groove, precision, and a warm, distinctive tone to every performance.
