Hey, I’m Destiny artistically know as DES DES DES , a vocalist and songwriter based in Brooklyn. The first time I stepped onstage as Dorothy in an off-Broadway adaptation of The Wiz, something clicked into place ;I felt a fresh freedom, like life opened up. Since then I’ve shared stages with Earth, Wind & Fire, Fantasia, and Jimmy Fallon, sung for the President of Bermuda, and honored the Tuskegee Airmen with the ensemble Songs of Solomon. Those experiences taught me that my voice doesn’t have to be loud to be felt , that softness can be unforgettable.
My sound blends R&B and pop with feminine softness and quiet confidence. I favor vocals that sit close to the ear pretty, honest, and unforgettable. My core influences are Mariah Carey’s storytelling, Brandy’s harmony architecture, and Billie Eilish’s whisper-soft atmosphere. I also draw from Beyoncé’s control, Rihanna’s cool ease, Doja Cat’s playful tone, and the melodic joy of Sabrina Carpenter and Bruno Mars.
