Guitarist, bass guitarist, producer, song-writer, and audio engineer based out of San Diego, California. Performed, recorded, produced, and engineered all tracks for The Waterbear and Drake Martinez.
I am a guitarist, bass guitarist, producer, and audio engineer originally from Boston, Massachusetts. I played in a number of bands and for artists there before moving to Los Angeles, California, in 2014. In Los Angeles, I did some studio work for artists there and played with a number of bands before I decided to settle down in 2018 in San Diego, California.
I published an album in 2023 under the name The Waterbear, which is a funk/alt-rock artist with cool soundscapes. I performed, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered the album. I live with my family and want to help other artists and establish myself as a producer and audio engineer.

Interview with Drake Martinez
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: If I am doing a song on my own, I have inspirations that I record on my phone. When I have time, I put the ideas together and arrange them into songs. For other people, I carefully listen to what they have, get a vision of what is missing or is needed, listen to it on my phone, in the car, with headphones, and high-quality speakers, then deliver what I think is missing in terms of arrangement, production, EQ, or instrumentals.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have an 8 track at home with many microphones for the drums, guitar, and I have a Line 6 Helix, a keyboard, synthesizer, guitars, and bass guitars. That is pretty much everything I need to make some music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Audio engineering and producer work. I can also do guitar and bass guitar parts.
