OBie Mavuso (also known as Kanii Axtro) is a Hip-Hop Soul musician from Qonce, South Africa. 🇿🇦

She has collaborated with artists such as Ntomb'ethongo, Thor Rixon, Andy Mkosi, Jeremy De Tolly, Original Swimming Party, Sky City Uno, Flash Ikumkani, D.O.X RSA, Sindiwe Magona and Mzukhona SA.

Her career kicked-off as one of the founding curators of Jam That Session in CPT between 2012 - 2017.

She made her name as the director of companies such as Queers on Smash & Blvck Queer, centered around LGBT advocacy in South Africa (2014 - 2022)

She first gained recognition musically after the release of her first EP 'Konscious Aktivity' in 2014 with the lead single 'Blessings Come Blessings Go'

She released her follow-up EP 'Cosmic Fire' in 2016, followed by 'KRWN' in 2018, 'Feelings Matter' in 2020 and 'Ndizakbonisa' in 2022. To date she has been featured on Okay Africa, AfroPunk, Pan African Music.

She has performed at the Rocking The Daisies Festival (2016) Smoking dragon festival (2018 + 2019), Melrose gallery (2019) 'Show-me' festival in Zurich, Switzerland (Jan, 2020)
