Interview with KIRON
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog - I feel like I have more control over the sounds.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is simple: I’ll treat your music like it’s mine. I’ll listen, understand your vision, and give you production that feels personal, polished, and full of life. You won’t get a copy-paste beat - you’ll get something built around your sound, with real emotion and detail. I’m fully invested in the artists I work with. If you're serious about your craft, I’ll match that energy 100%.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: What I like most about my job is connecting with artists - hearing their vision, matching their energy, and building something real together.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Q: How long does it take to finish a song or beat? A: Depends on the service. A custom beat usually takes 2-4 days. Full production with mixing and mastering can take a bit longer, depending on how many revisions we do. Q: Do you offer revisions? A: Of course. I want you to love the final result, so I include a few revisions depending on the package or service. Q: Can you mix vocals I record at home? A: Yes, as long as they’re recorded clearly and dry (no effects). I can clean them up, mix them into the beat, and make the whole track sound polished. Q: What do you need from me to start? A: Just your vision - a few references, the emotion you’re going for, and any ideas you already have. If vocals are involved, I’ll need the files in WAV or stems format.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception is that being a producer is just about making a beat and sending it off. It’s way more than that - it’s about understanding the artist, building a vibe, and helping shape the entire sound of the song.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Are you serious about your project?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Relax, take your time to explain your vision to me and let's make it come true.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My macbook, headphones and a midi keyboard. I don't need anything else.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Been doing this for over half a decade - working with up-and-coming artists and helping them find their unique sound. Studio sessions at labels like Global Records and learning from top producers and artists shaped my sound and taught me how to really connect and create with artists.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Versatile.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I want to work with The Weeknd and Mike Dean because their music feels like something bigger than just songs. The Weeknd brings this crazy emotion and atmosphere to everything he does, and Mike Dean takes that and turns it into something cinematic and powerful. That combination really inspires me - it's the kind of sound that stays with you.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Try your best to connect with the artist.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: R&B/Soul, Pop, Trap, Hip-hop and also radio-friendly tracks.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Connecting with the artist; understanding the type of sound that they want and giving them the best result possible.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring emotion, depth, and clarity. Whether it’s a beat or a full track, I focus on building a mood that matches the artist’s energy.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First, the artist books a call with me and shares their vision. From there, we start working on the song, going back and forth with ideas until it feels right. If they’re not based in Romania, they’ll need to record vocals on their end and send them to me for mixing/mastering - depending on the service they need.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Apollo mk II, Beyerdynamic DT900 PRO X Headphones, Yamaha HS7 or ADAM audio T7V monitors - depending on the studio that I'm working at that moment (usually i check my work in both studios), Nektar 61+ midi keyboards, 10+ guitars, PC - 32 GB RAM, ryzen 5 5600x, sapphire radeon rx 7600 8gb, 2 TB SSD and a macbook pro with an i7 (Going to change it soon).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Internationally: Mike Dean, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Drake, Kanye West, 6lack, Bryson Tiller, Pharrell Williams Nationally: Sikotoy, Alexandru Turcu, Domino, Irina Rimes, The Motans, Adi Istrate, Carla's Dreams, Inna
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I produce custom beats tailored to each artist’s vision - mainly in genres like hip-hop, R&B, trap, and pop. I handle everything from melody creation and sound selection to full arrangement, mixing, and mastering. Most artists come to me with a vibe, emotion, or reference, and I build a track around that - clean, emotional, and ready to record.
