A good song should connect the soul to the heart. You should be able to resonate with the lyrics, and find meaning on a scale that can only be described as transcendent to the listener whatever emotion it may be that you are trying to convey.
I have worked in many different levels of music! I was in music professionally for years working closely under a group that helped start Def Jam New York. During that time period I had wrote hundreds of songs, with my most popular one being a single called "Solomon" that amassed over 100K streams. Nowadays, as an independent artist I put a heavy focus on doing what I want to do, and making what I know can message to someone out there who may be struggling. I've written over 400 songs thus far as an independent artist and consider song-writing one of my strongest suits. I am very versatile in making sure that every bit of lyric has a clear image mentally connected to it!
