Radio-Ready Production, Vocals & Songwriting - Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Indie, And EDM

I'm Athul, A multidisciplinary music producer, vocalist, and songwriter specializing in Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and EDM. I bring industry-standard sonics and a refined creative process to every project.

With a bachelor's in music production and sound engineering, and more than 6 years of experience across production, engineering, and songwriting, I bring both creative intuition and technical precision to every project. My original work, including 'Bleed', 'for her', and 'Where'd you go?', is available on all streaming platforms, showcasing my ability to craft records that feel personal yet commercially viable

I create dynamic, genre-blending instrumentals that support compelling topline; ranging from atmospheric R&B to high-impact EDM, with a focus on clarity, texture, and emotional payoff. As a versatile tenor, I deliver smooth, studio-quality vocals, including leads, harmonies, and ad-libs tailored to your track’s sonic identity. My songwriting is melodically strong and lyrically thoughtful, specializing in memorable hooks and heartfelt lyrics that resonate across genres.

Every project I take on is approached with professionalism, care, and an ear for what makes a track timeless. Whether you’re an emerging artist or a seasoned producer, I’m here to help elevate your sound.

Interview with Athul

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My song 'Where'd You Go?'. My team and I did so much for that track that it made us shift our mindset for production permanently, where we allow ourselves to mess around so much.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on 25 songs. 22 of them are my projects, 12 for my album, and 10 for my singles. And the 3 others are client work.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: A bit of both. I learnt sound design on digital instruments like Serum and Sylenth1. But have you ever recorded a piano and fed the signal of the recorded piano to a guitar amp like the Orange CR60? It gives you so much more harmonics and the effect of a built-in reverb unit makes it sound massive. I love messing around with sound.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I promise if you don't like what I make, you can have your money back. 100%. I won't disappoint. I know my stuff, and I know how to get your head moving.

  9. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  10. A: - How are you? How's life been? (gotta know what my client's personality is like.) - Do you like pineapples on pizza? (Says a lot about a person, you know who you are) - what sort of music do you like or aspire to make? (lets me do my research) - Are there any specific things you want me to keep in mind while I start with the creation process? (like a specific theme, a scale, a specific instrument you need for the track, etc.) Basically a therapy session. Brings out the best for the song in my opinion.

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: Honestly, I just need my laptop, headphones, and my iPhone. All I really need, to be fair.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: I've been doing this all my life. I've been making beats since I was 12, so 2011. Started writing when I was 15, started putting out songs at 19. And it has been amazing so far!! (btw I'm 24)

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: Jon Bellion. My god, the charisma and the love for music he has, transpires through music and every piece of content he makes. I'd love to geek out with him about music.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: - Macbook pro (M1 Pro) - Audient ID4 - M-Audio Keystation 49 - Audio Technica ATH M50x - Audio Technica AT2035 Condenser Microphone. Any other instruments or additional vocal recording, I do it at a professional studio. (Ten87 Studios)

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: I mostly work with songwriting and production. I used to make EDM vocals, lyrics, and Production, but my taste changed, and now I specialize in creating pop, alt rock, indie, and R&B tracks.
