Original Voice. Soulful Vision

HINA. on SoundBetter

A Distinctive Soul Voice for Meaningful Music

I’m not a session singer – I’m an artist driven by intuition and emotion. My sound weaves soulful vocals with organic grooves, rich harmonies, and future beats. Picture Erykah Badu meets Kaytranada, with an unmistakable touch of mysticism.
I write, compose, and produce music that carries rich stories, textures, and energy. Deeply rooted in soul, R&B, jazz, and hip-hop, my music adds a spiritual and cinematic edge to every track.

If you're looking for a unique voice and a strong artistic vision, I can craft songs from scratch or bring your production to the next level with vocals full of soul and intention.

I only collaborate on music that aligns with my energy and artistic values.
Quality over quantity. Emotion over industry. Soul first. I believe in creating meaningful and authentic collaborations, where every project is approached with the same passion and dedication as if it were my own. I only work on projects that align with my artistic values and vision. Please note, I don’t offer free demos. Let’s create something extraordinary together!

Interview with HINA.

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My single “En plein soleil” — written, composed, produced, and performed entirely by me — is a project I'm especially proud of. It's deeply personal, represents the soul of my sound, and marked my first French rap track. It sparked something powerful in me and inspired the creation of a full EP in that same spirit.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on my hybrid live set as HINA to introduce my original music and influences, while also developing new tracks and laying the foundation for my independent label.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet — but I’m open to discovering like-minded talents.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital, for now. I work digitally because it’s what I have access to — but I love the warmth and imperfections of analog. One day, I hope to blend both.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Honesty, quality, and soulful work. I only say yes if I feel I can elevate your music.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Turning emotions into music. When a track gives chills — that’s what I live for.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: People often ask: “Can you sing on my song?” I only say yes when I feel there’s a real artistic connection. I look for projects where my universe is welcomed, not just my voice. It’s about resonance, not convenience.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I’m “just the voice.” People often assume someone else produced the music, when in fact, production is one of my favorite parts of the creative process — and a core part of my identity as an artist.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I usually ask: “Why do you make music? What brought you to it — and who inspires you?” These answers tell me a lot about your story, your energy, and if we’re a good creative match.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Make sure we align artistically. Listen to my work — if it speaks to you, I’ll pour my soul into your track.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: My MIDI keyboard, my mic, an audio interface, Ableton Live, and my favorite VSTs. With just these, I can write, produce, and record from anywhere — even on a desert island.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I've been singing and writing since I was a child. After years of creating and play behind the scenes, experimenting life, I started releasing music as HINA. I’ve worked with amazing musicians, and I’m now stepping into a new artistic chapter.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Soulful, textured, emotionally bold, rooted in rhythm and truth. I create from intuition, and I write to share my vision of the world.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Childish Gambino or Kaytranada — for their ability to blend soul, rhythm and authenticity. That fusion deeply resonates with me.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Don’t chase trends — let your sound come from within. The emotion you put into your music is more powerful than any plugin or preset.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I work on music that carries soul, depth, and intention — from neo soul and experimental grooves to rap that tells a real story. I’m drawn to timeless vibes and artists who create with purpose.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is my unique vocal identity. It's recognizable, emotionally charged, and deeply personal. It's the reason most people reach out to me — and why I only lend it to music that truly resonates.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: A voice with presence, emotion and identity. Lyrics and melodies that feel alive. And a musical touch that blends organic soul with modern textures.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start by connecting with the energy of the project. I write and compose intuitively, then shape the emotion into melody and production. I keep my workflow fluid, but always grounded in groove and soul.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I record from a treated home studio with an AKG mic, audio interface and a minimal setup focused on clean vocal capture and creative freedom. I also collaborate with top engineers for mixing/mastering when needed.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Prince, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, D’Angelo, Flume, Kaytranada, Missy Elliott, Jacob Collier, Solange, Robert Glasper... The list is long! I’m inspired by fearless, free and genre-bending artists.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I write, compose, sing and produce soulful tracks with strong emotional impact. Whether it’s topline, full songwriting or creating a unique vocal performance — I bring intention and authenticity to each project.
