Kyle Lent on SoundBetter

Top 1% of producers and mixing engineers on Muso, focusing on worship, pop, rock, and Americana. I've been helping artists in many genres bring their music to life for 20 years and have close to 100 million total streams on projects I've worked on. I value creating something excellent & helping artists grow in knowing what they want.

I've owned and operated The Audio Village in Austin, TX for about 15 years where I work full time as a producer, mixer, and session musician. I work on most genres within the rock/pop/Americana realm, including worship, CCM, gospel, and folk/singer-songwriter. I am listed on Muso.ai within the top 1% worldwide of Producers & Mixing Engineers. I have my own professional studio, so I'm never needing to book a space or wait for another project to finish. I have a hybrid style of production and mixing, using a lot of high-quality outboard gear (Neve console along with API, SSL, Neve, Lang, Retro, Shadow Hills, etc.) along with tons of in-the-box stuff as well. I can usually turn a mix around in a day or two, and love the collaboration of getting it over the finish line together!

As a session musician, I've played on hundreds and hundreds of records over the years. Guitar is my primary instrument (I have a couple dozen guitars, including many vintage ones; amps, pedals, etc.), but I'm a very capable bassist and keyboardist as well. In addition, I've done tons of programming for percussion, backing tracks, and so forth.

Finally, I LOVE the process of creating and recording, and always strive to make it an enjoyable experience and process. I want the artists that I work with to leave feeling more confident in knowing what they want in future projects & how to express that!

Man, Kyle is the real deal. He approaches every project like it’s his own. Whether you want him to just track an instrument or just crank out a mix, you’re getting a producer mindset either way because he has such a passion for the work. There have been some tracks he sends back mix1 the day he opens it up and it’s amazing. I keep coming back to Kyle for help on my tracks because he’s easy to work with, his electric guitar execution is killer, and his ear for mixing is so great…and seems to get better with every project.

Kyle is a good hang, and that's important when you're trying to lay down the best track of your life. He's able to capture things in a few takes. He's very capable of taking your raw idea and bringing it to fruition. He has good ideas about what the song needs to make it better. It was a pleasure to work with Kyle. I plan to continue to work with him a lot in the future.

I’ve had the privilege of playing in bands with Kyle Lent and recording hundreds of songs in his studios over the years, and I can honestly say he’s one of the most talented and genuine people I’ve ever worked with. Kyle isn’t just an incredible musician and producer—he has a rare ability to bring out the best in every artist he works with. His ear for detail, creative instincts, and steady professionalism make every session not only productive but inspiring. Whether we were crafting something from scratch or fine-tuning the smallest parts, Kyle’s input always elevated the music. Beyond the mu
