Heyo!
Interestingly enough, I've worn many hats as a music man ranging from gospel music to electro-swing. My playing and production have been used on stages and screens around the world. I pride myself in my ear for sounds and my keyboard feel. I love playing funk keys as well as creating grooves and melodies. Thanks for listening and I hope to get to hear your music!

Interview with Samuel Witt
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing keyboards at my Dads church at the tender age of 11. Since then I've been playing in some capacity ever since. It kind of goes like this: high school bands ππ½ college degree ππ½ cruise ship performer ππ½ hired keyboardist ππ½ writer/composer
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soulful, Groovy, Compelling
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Anderson Paak.. I love the taste/feel of his productions.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't edit yourself while creating. The only editing that you need while creating should serve the creating and not kill the vibe. You can edit later.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul, RnB, Pop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Capturing the feel.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring my ear and musicality, as well as taste. My goal is not to retract value, but add value. If that means playing less, so be it!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen pretty intently a few times through gathering the feel/vibe and listening for my part. While listening, I write down the arrangement and chords so I can record efficiently. I audition sounds that I've been directed to use or use my creative judgment as it has been given me. I record a few takes and pick which ones sound the best.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Yamaha MODX as my keyboard / midi controller ADAM A7X's as my studio monitors Macbook M2 with Logic Pro XI installed VST's include Addictive Keys, Omnisphere, Piano in Blue
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Oscar Peterson, Imogen Heap, Sean Martin, Corey Henry, Joey DeFrancesco
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I have worked with clients that need more harmonic support via Keyboards / Synths in their song/track. I've worked on Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, RnB, and Funk tracks to name a few.
