Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I’m currently producing new material for my artist project ARK IDENTITY while also working on production, mixing, songwriting, and session work for other artists. A lot of my current music is exploring the space between indie, psychedelic pop, dream pop, and more organic live instrumentation.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. Digital gives you incredible speed, flexibility, recall, and experimentation. Analog and real instruments can introduce unpredictability and character. I care about the result, not whether the signal passed through the “correct” piece of equipment.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I’ll treat your song like an artist, not an assembly line. I’ll listen to what you’re trying to achieve, communicate clearly, and push the record toward its strongest version without erasing what made it yours in the first place.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: That moment when a song suddenly becomes itself. You can spend hours experimenting, and then one arrangement change, sound, vocal take, or production decision makes the entire record click.

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A: “Can you make this sound more professional?” Usually, yes but my first question is what they mean by professional. I’d rather make something distinctive and emotionally powerful than technically perfect but generic.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: That producing means adding things. A huge part of producing is knowing what not to add. Sometimes the best production decision is muting five tracks and turning the vocal up.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What do you love most about the current demo? What feels wrong or unfinished? What are your reference tracks? Are there any elements that absolutely need to stay? How polished or raw do you want the final record to feel? And most importantly: what do you want the listener to feel?

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: Hire someone whose taste you trust, not just someone with good technical credentials. Production is subjective. The right producer should understand what makes your demo special before trying to change it.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: A great electric guitar, an interface, a versatile synth, a laptop with Logic Pro, and one really good microphone. With those five things I could probably make an entire record.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I studied music production at Centennial College and also attended Berklee’s Barcelona program. I spent several years working professionally in audio and content production before building my own artist project, ARK IDENTITY, where I produce, write, engineer, and perform. My releases have now passed 1M streams and received radio and press support internationally.

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: Dreamy, emotional, textured, psychedelic, groove-focused, and slightly imperfect. I like records that feel expensive without sounding sterile.

Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

A: Tame Impala. Kevin Parker has an incredible ability to combine songwriting, psychedelic sound design, groove, and extremely detailed production while still making everything feel emotional and human.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Don’t assume cleaner is better. A rough mix often contains timing, texture, distortion, imbalance, or accidental moments that give the song its personality. When finishing a record, improve the rough without destroying the reasons you loved it.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Indie, dream pop, psychedelic pop, alternative, indie rock, ambient music, and alternative R&B. I love music that feels atmospheric, emotional, slightly experimental, and human.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Understanding the feeling an artist is trying to achieve and translating that into production decisions. I’m especially good at taking something that technically sounds good but doesn’t emotionally connect yet and figuring out why.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: Taste, emotional perspective, arrangement instincts, and the ability to hear what a song is missing. Sometimes that means adding something. Just as often, it means removing something, making the vocal more important, loosening the groove, or finding the one sound that gives the song an identity.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: I start by figuring out what the artist already loves about the song and what feels missing. Then I focus on arrangement, groove, sound palette, and emotional dynamics before getting too deep into polish. Once the production feels right, I move into vocal production, editing, detailed mix work, and revisions.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: My studio is a hybrid setup built for character rather than sterile perfection. I have a 1965 Ludwig Super Classic drum kit, Juno-106, Höfner bass, baritone Strat, Roland VG-8, LA-2A style compression, guitars, pedals, amps and plenty of analog and digital sound-design options, all centered around Logic Pro. I’m big on recording real performances and then using modern tools to shape them without losing the human feel.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: Tame Impala, Bon Iver, Dijon, mk.gee, Radiohead, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Tears for Fears, Depeche Mode, and Foster the People. I’m especially drawn to artists and producers who make records feel emotionally alive rather than overly perfect.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: I usually take a demo, voice memo, or partially produced song and turn it into a finished record. That can include full production, arrangement, guitars, bass, synths, vocal production, editing, sound design, and mixing. A lot of my work is helping artists get from “this is close” to “this actually feels like me.”
