Interview with Teckn(S.Marshall)

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I am most of proud of the legends of glory battle cypher project. It consist of 4 executive producers Teckn, cash champ, Nee’Cole, Nicoleknox that I bring in personally. Also consist of over 50 staff members/ models and 5 underground battle artist from the Inland empire. I am most proud of this project because most of our production staff members and artist were underground and from either Los Angeles or the Inland Empire. Showing that any artist can innovate their talents to heights they never seen with the right amount of teckn energy. Showcasing that my work flow and ways of building brands can fill an entire room of brands with huge energy.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am building a Mobile application funnel marketing system consisting of multiple mobile applications and websites. Music and video streaming platforms that could showcase and reel in fans/customers for artist, producers and streamers. Search and gameplay mobile applications that could get artist and producer way more exposure then normal with Google adds and App Store launches. Also working on the legends of glory battle cypher launch and over 1000s music releases.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I am currently new to sound better and do not currently know any of the artist on here.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Although I produce mostly digital, Analog all day. Having a light is cool, but having a stage of lights with infinite power backing could never be matched. Metaphorically saying that a digital version of any project is a boxed in less powerful version of analog. Analog can give the power of a million computers if you know how to operate the consoles correctly. Digital could never ever match analog because analog brings power to life. Digital just contains it and gives it as much power as it can.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is to give you 150% dedication and work ethic. A level of efficiency that will get you to satisfaction and possibly more.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love everything about my job. I grew up doing what I loved since middle school and never stopped or changed my direction to think I would do anything else. 20 straight years of industry learning led me to easily navigating my way around the studios.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: How can I market their projects to millions of viewers. My answer is always it’s not how, it’s when can we compete the basic steps it takes to reel in viewers. Getting viewers is not hard, it’s landing clients and fans that’s your main focus.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: People think because I give out thousands of knowledge and extra work for free before completing my own brand that I need to do it for help or it’s a scam. I know so much knowledge and went to school for so many years that I don’t mind giving out knowledge, production work, help, assistance on any project that exceeds any amount of payment or help given in return.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Is your brand for fun or to exert brand dominance? What are your brand and project goals? Have you seen success with your products? Have you marketed with a major marketing campaign before? Have you taken brand or artist development courses? Has anyone backed your projects?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Prepare your project efficiently and make sure you’re going for the right person for the job. The better your knowledge and preparation is the better your project will turn out. Work ethic, efficiency, and the right amount of work hours will always lead you to success.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: MacBook computer M5, nuemann Tlm u87, Apollo interphase, native instruments studio beat pad, Yamaha motif keyboard.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I chose to hold a compete trans media brand of entertainment. Music catalogs, movie catalogs in process, video game creation in process, and mobile application/websites funnel marketing systems for easy marketing campaigning. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years and have seen great success along the way.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Extremely adaptive. No matter the setting or style I am placed in, I can completely adapt and blend in to stand out in the matching character. Not taking too much energy to refocus their careers but to add on piles and piles of high leveled energy projects that can change the artist careers even after a huge life of success.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Let the music in you flow effortlessly. Forcing a sound that isn’t you may corrupt your musical innovation. Stay focused, and build until innovation walks side by side with your production.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
