Some would say I'm a bit experimental, some would say I'm indie, but I always aim for a catchy tune and lush sounds, frequently with elements of pop, electronica, metal, and hip hop.
I frequently produce entire tracks on my own, including vocals, synths, guitar, bass, and midi drums. My sound is usually described as something totally unique, but I blend all the genres I'm interested in, which is everything from pop and acoustic to metal and EDM. I am interested in pushing boundaries and moving into new sonic territory, but always with a strong melodic hook.
I also spent 3 years gaining experience as a bassist/singer for a cover band. I was known for singing a strange mix of Billy Idol, Roy Orbison, and Sublime. I have a very powerful and high vocal range for a male vocalist.
As a bassist, I love a classic and funky disco sound. I play mostly fingerstyle and slap. Favorite basslines include "Got to Be Real" by Cheryl Lynn and "What's the Use" by Mac Miller (bassline by Thundercat). I'd love to groove on some danceable tracks like those.
