I worked with Bea to develop a sample pack. She understood the concept and delivered remarkable vocals! We made some revisions and she was extremely quick and turned around exactly what was needed with a minimal briefing. I really enjoyed working Bea and I do plan on working with her ASAP!

Bea's a super talented artist with a beautiful voice! I've worked with her on several projects such as "Cloud 9" and "B4WBU' and still continue to! She always delivers when it comes to songwriting and melodies. Bea always makes the process fun and her character displays true dedication to her craft, which I love, not to mention professionalism! From a producer - engineer's stand point, I think she's the real deal!

Interview with Bea Kadri

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: hmm why do I gotta choose! If I have to, I'd say my debut single "CLOUD 9" prod by OFFTRACK (a.k.a Zack Shaar) - I was the singer songwriter on the track and I just love the energy in that track, the lyrics, the imagery in the chorus "yeah the grass greener, the sky much blue, man it's always sunny with a golden view" - just that happy life, happy living, describe my heaven of doing what I love singing and songwriting. That's what the song is about. It took a long time for me to believe in myself enough to pursue this and for me to get the support I needed.. so that song will forever hold a very special place in my heart. :)

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: My future releases and music videos. Can't wait for you to hear them! (check my channels under Bea Kadri)

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: You have to respect the space you're working in, set the mood and vibes before you dive into any project so that all your creative juices flow in the right direction.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I light candles and some incense, get super zen, clear my mind and really dive into the project. I tap into the emotions the song requires guided by the beat given and the reference tracks if provided. I like to deliver quick and share as much as possible on the progress if the client wants to be involved creatively. Super open to criticism and to re-works or inputs. This is your baby, and I'm happy to help you make it and give my honest opinion. I want you to really love what I'm creating for you as much as I do (if not more) :)

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: I'd have to say I do songwriting and toplining the most. However if the sound fits mine I might jump on as a singer as well.

  11. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  12. A: yessss defo Producer OFFTRACK (a.k.a Zack Shaar), I have seen him in the studio, we've worked together on several tracks ("Cloud 9" & "B4WBU") and his sound is FIRE. The way talent is in his core, flows in his vains! wooh! and he's genuinely such a nice guy. Super highly recommended (he's often quite busy but still hit him up).

  13. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  14. A: Both. Why do I gotta choose, each gives a feel and an outcome.

  15. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  16. A: that I don't rest til you love it

  17. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  18. A: That each song is a whole mood and experience. I never get sick of it, am always interested in working on something new, always listening to music, always open to new music which some projects introduce me to. Nothing I don't love about the process (except writers block and the flu, those two are like the Voldemorts of the work i do)

  19. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  20. A: If I can do it for royalties only. And my answer is it depends on the project.

  21. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  22. A: that you HAVE to follow a certain structure for every song. Like yes, there are basics but there needs to be room for creative outflow.

  23. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  24. A: Some clients give me full freedom to vibe off their beats and then they tell me what they liked and didn't like and we tweak it til it's cooked and ready. And with others, I ask if they have a specific theme for the song, or words they think of when they think of the song, or reference tracks/artists. Any experience they want to portray or share, it's an open space.

  25. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  26. A: It's hard to choose who to work with (I get it I go through the same dilemma) and who to invest your hard earned money on but you won't know til you try and take a chance. I seriously want you to be super happy with the work I do and we do together so I don't rest til we get it right and hit the spot. I don't impose on you, I advise you and go with your flow. (And if you want me to lead, was born ready let's goooo)

  27. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  28. A: hah! assuming there's food and beverages first and that batteries never run out: I'd get a mic, portable speaker, acoustic guitar, keyboard, journal and pen.

  29. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  30. A: I been writing songs since I was about 6? (I still remember the break ups I never had but had alot to say about lol) nah but for real, I properly took myself seriously as songwriter and started studying it and reading up about it in 2016. Been growing since <3

  31. Q: How would you describe your style?

  32. A: passionate, in my feelings, confident, sassy, real? I feel like my music and portfolio describes me better than I am here...

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: I'd love to work with Posty! Post Malone. He's got this vulnerably creative transparency to him and I find it very relatable. I'd love to be in a studio with him.

  35. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  36. A: Alternative RnB and Pop / Future Pop

  37. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  38. A: I'm quick and invested. (I love what I do, never take it for granted)

  39. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  40. A: catchy hooks, depth, meaningful lyrics, some feels, some sass and whatever your vision is for your project, I'mma channel it. (check my released music for reference under Bea Kadri)

  41. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  42. A: NT1 Rode microphone + M-Track 2x2 M-Audio sound card + M-Audio BX5 speakers + Logic Pro X software <3

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: H.E.R, SZA, Jhene Aiko, Ariana Grande, 6lack, Post Malone, Drake, Summer Walker, Beyonce, Rihanna
