Victor est très efficace et à l'écoute. De plus, il prend le temps de suggérer des modifications sur le mix en amont du mastering, ce qui est très apprécié. Je recommande vivement et retravaillerai avec lui sans l'ombre d'un doute.

Vic is extremely knowledgeable picking things out in the mix that I had maybe missed on the first stage of mixing. It is this attention to detail and honest feedback that helps provide a great-sounding master delivered in an extremely timely manner. Will definitely use it again

Interview with Boring Vic
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on advanced bass traping for my room.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Aaron Roman is THE MAN when it comes to EDM !
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both are great. There are some tricks I do in my analog hardware that I still can't replicate in the box. One thing for sure : working without a screen is a big plug. That's something I love with analog.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Money-back guarantee ! I only charge when the client is 100% happy.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm very inspired by Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound as well as Mike Dean, Bob Katz and Alex Gopher.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't overprocess your master bus
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 2 Dutch&Dutch 8C 1 pair of Audeze LCD-5 2 Vacuvox U23
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Self-taught in audio engineering, yet college-educated
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Do less!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: It's pretty broad, but it seems underground dance music, modern hip hop and indie is my bread and butter.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Broad music tastes
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: As any other mastering engineer, I bring a fresh pair of ears and a nice pair of high end speakers !
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually clean the track with precise EQ moves. I try to find the correct tonal balance pretty soon so I keep my ears fresh. Then I work on the groove, the loudness, etc.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My monitoring consists of Dutch&Dutch 8c full-range speakers and Audeze MM-500 headphones in a treated room. I process audio with analog gear and plugins.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I'm a mastering engineer.
